This museum is not very talked about but it has a treasure of California artists on display. Also, thirty artists rent studios there and invite you to walk in and see and talk about their process. A must do if you're an artist and still learning .

The Peninsula Museum of Art after 4+ years living in Burlingame has grown and expanded its reach into the community in a number of ways. It's now featuring a POP UP at the Museum this Thursday, Aug. 10, from 6 pm to 10 pm with a food truck and music along with the exhibits now in the galleries. And if you want to wander, there are 30 studios in the other parts of the building housing different artists in various mediums.

The current exhibition featured the photography of Dorthea Lange, plus a really cool collection of cameras dating back to the 1800's. The museum also houses the galleries and workshops of a many local artists of varying styles and media, from hats to sculpture to whatsthat? We enjoyed our two hours here and found it quite interesting and worth the time.

The museum, including its gift shop, always has interesting art by local artists. The adjacent artists' studios are worth, particularly when the Peninsula Open Studios events take place or when an exhibit in the museum is opening. At that time most, if not all, of the artists are in their studios—fascinating to see, and you can buy some excellent art at reasonable prices. This is a great way to support your local art community and to pick up some nice art for yourself or for gifts.

Everything in here is awsome, great for groups too. I try to go back as often as I can with my busy schedule but if i could go once a week it would be worth it
