We loved the resort. The rooms were new and clean and bright. The beds were awesome. The bikes were a super cool & convenient option. We had a geyser view, and it was pretty cool. The sound of the running water was super relaxing.
The pools were amazing. I only wish there were a cold plunge pool or a cold mist you could walk through or something. Both pools were warm/hot. Also, the adult pool is a great idea, but it's small and stayed packed throughout. Maybe consider having a "adults only" month? Also, the staff was super chill and uninterested in actually working. So, there were lounge chairs with old towels left all day, garbage left all day throughout the area, no service at the bar until after 2p all 3 days. You're missing out on a lot of business not having a better stocked bar for a longer time. These things are so simple to implement.
We had a mud bath in the spa. Super weird experience. HOT. I would recommend doing it in cooler months (what were we thinking?), but my husband LOVED it, so...Anyhow, the spa facilities need a few simple additions - cold shower option separate from the mud bath area, hair brushes/combs, Qtips, razors, and a better tour of the facility without having to ask for it. SO minor, but make such a huge impact.
We really enjoyed the food at Sam's. The service was mediocre. You were short staffed, but it could be because all the tables came in at once. ? Also, the entrance was confusing. You think you're going the wrong way, but keep going- the entrance is through the patio.
We will definitely stay here again. For sure.
