After a less-than-great experience at a restaurant down the street, we got lucky! This place was a winner. In fact, we ate there three times in a four day visit and brought friends as well. I love seafood and creative appetizers and cocktails, while my husband and friends are pastavores and carnivores, and this warm, friendly, and delicious place delivered on all counts. I am an avid foodie but not into stuffy environments, and Calistoga Inn offered the best experience I have had in a long time. Thanks to all the folks there, from hostess to waitstaff to kitchen -- you are top-class and made my vacation :)

The cuisine at the Pine Inn and presentation as well as wait service is number one in the area, while also being a place for locals to gather, who say that it is in their opinion the best dining in the area, despite being a bit on the expensive side. Outdoor garden seating for warmer weather. Classic building. Vegetarian options. Good for individuals, couples, groups, and families. Housed in an historic building on the Main Street through town.

Had dinner there on a Monday night. Short ribs were good, gnocchi with mushrooms & butternut squash and greens was sub par for the type of restaurant and the cost. Sauce tasted a like burnt oil and that was the over riding flavor. Lemon ice box cake was yummy. Staff and service were lovely.

We had dinner at the Calistoga Inn Restaurant . Swordfish was excellent, but rib eye steak was juicy but difficult to chew or impossible to swallow... service was nice. Desserts were excellent!

I warmly recommend this pretty place in the town centre, I've had probably the best pasta dish in the United States, truly comparable to a one you can eat in an Italian restaurant in Italy.
Good atmosphere and nice service.
I hope to be back soon!
