Description: Lovina is an intimate, locals' favorite restaurant in a historic Craftsman home on the main street of Calistoga- chef driven menu, local unique wine list, and the best heated patio in town! Formerly known as Calistoga Kitchen, we reopened as Lovina in 2018, named after an inspiring pioneer woman in Calistoga (Lovina Graves Cyrus.) Four local restaurateurs run this neighborhood gem specializing in chef driven menus and local wines. Join us on the heated patio in the historic "Antique District" of Calistoga's main street, the east end of Lincoln. We serve all day Thursdays-Mondays and are closed Tuesday/ Wednesday. Dogs are welcome on our patio, and there is a parking lot behind our building.

This restaurant occupies what was, in my childhood growing up in Calistoga, the office of the town's only doctor. Now it's a charming little bistro with excellent food and an inviting patio in warm weather. I had a delicious salad and a goat chili pasta, the latter of which was well spiced and had perfectly al dente home-made pasta, marred only by being a bit too salty.

The wine list is adequate but not stunning given its location in the Napa Valley, but I appreciated the touch of offering either still or sparkling water as soon as we were seated.

Reservations are recommended during busy times.

We had an excellent meal here. We both started with the gazpacho, which had a touch of jalapeño without overwhelming the other flavors. My husband had the mushroom risotto, which had a strong, woodsy mushroom flavor and a creamy texture, and I had the spicy goat cavatelli, which also was very tasty and with the pasta cooked just right. We finished by splitting a lovely pumpkin bread pudding with gelato, which was quite light and avoided the usual problem of being overly sweet. The wine list by the glass was relatively short, but interesting. Service was fine. Dinner with four glasses of wine between us was about $165 before tip. We'll definitely be back.

We went for lunch here after a drive up the valley from Napa. It is located on a cozy corner. You can sit on the patio or in the restaurant. Even though it is on a corner, it is quiet and feels somewhat secluded. We had Poached Eggs, Country Pate, and Heirloom Tomato Salad. All were fantastic. The Country Pate was excellent and I would have liked to have tried it again but vacation time didn’t allow time. The meals were light which is always good for a mid-day meal. Can’t miss!!

Loved this dinner experience. We had the opah and goat cavatelli. Both were very well prepared and delicious. Sitting out on the patio made for a wonderful evening.

The BLT sandwich was recommended by our waitress and she was 100% correct on her recommendation. Some of the best tomatoes I've had this year and I think there was 8 slices or more on my sandwich. Just yummy.
