We traveled as a couple as we always do and wanted a special place for 1 night while we were attending a wine function.Michelle and her staff were outstanding in understanding our needs and requests. It is a self contained resort estate with a lot of rich history. The owners are very envolved with several charities and donate a portion of your nightly rate to them.It is a working equestrian center and the horses are well loved there. You can even take a ride on one. There are 400 acres and plenty of walking areas, games like croquet and archery. We do recommend couple staying in the Main House if you are looking for romantic.Families will be happy in the outer houses. They have breakfast included and you can stay for dinner, there, as well.A delicious lunch can be served to you as well.An experience you will not soon forget. We will come back here and stay longer, next time.

Room Tip: Couples stay in Chateau Noel,Families in outer houses.

Stonepine is the most beautiful and romantic place we have ever experienced. If you like privacy with discreet, elegance surrounded by scenery beyond imagination and incredible service by very professional caring people spend as much time as you possibly can staying at Stonepine, an "exclusive estate experience" in Carmel Valley. We held our corporate board meeting here several times, our annual family reunion and it is a special getaway for us. Stonepine is Awesome!

Room Tip: All of the rooms (houses) we have experienced are unique and inspirational. All are quiet with lovely views of nature and from some you see horses or deer. My favorites are the Briar Rose Cottage, the Hermes House and the Paddock House.

My husband and I stayed at Stonepine for 2 nights during a Pacific Coast Highway trip. The grounds are beautiful, private and peaceful. Our room was in the Paddock House with a view of the horses, and we ended up having the whole house to ourselves during the stay. Families of deer were just a few steps away from our house. Breakfast was delivered the first morning, and the second morning we were invited to a private breakfast on the lawn of the main chateau overlooking the pool and gardens. We went horseback riding and were chauffeured in a Rolls Royce to a local vineyard/winery. There were so many activities on the grounds, yet it was so peaceful and relaxing. All of the staff made our stay so enjoyable, especially Michelle and Jordan. Thank you for exceeding our expectations!

Just recently spent the weekend at StonePine Estate for a friends wedding. The estate grounds are beyond amazing, I felt transported into a beautiful movie scene the second we arrived. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is memorable. The decor is brilliant - like your crazy, quirky grandma with her wordly goods decorated it - in a good way. You could get lost for hours just exploring. The rooms were amazing. We stayed in the Ventian Suite, fully stocked with Salvatore Ferragamo toiletries. Arrived to a bottle of wine, full cheese, nut and fruit plate. It's not your typical hotel experience, more like a super fancy pants bed & breakfast. The cooking staff wlll make you anything you want. If ever wanting to splurge on a romantic getaway, I highly recommend. And it truly is a get-away as no cell reception anywhere on the grounds.

My husband and I wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life for the weekend.
We read the one review from the online concierge, San Francisco, CA and was worried about it.
I called and talked to the director of reservation and she reassured me that I would have a wonderful time there, and it was absolutely true. There was a minor problem which she took care of right away and made it better. We had a very relaxing, quiet and wonderful time there.
We went horseback riding with a very professional guide, tried the archery, and tennis. The food was healthy, like the kind you would get from the spa retreat but better and more delicious. The ambiance is serene. The experience was worth the money. Thank you everybody at Stonepine Estate Resort for all the wonderful work you had done for us.
Please do not let one bad review scare you from staying there :-)

Room Tip: Hermes House and Chateau Noel are an excellent choice.
