We were in the mood for Japanese food and we wanted to find a place close by to our hotel so Jizake Sushi fit the bill. This place is located in a strip mall with Subway. We were greeted by friendly staff and chose to sit near the front window booth and I like the screen which separates us from other tables. We ordered the unagi hand roll which was good, the shrimp and vegetable tempura appetizer, salmon teriyaki dinner and chicken teriyaki dinner. The service was friendly and prompt and the portions for the salmon and chicken were hearty. However, it wasn't quite what we are used to in terms of tempura for the shrimp was small and batter wasn't fluffy. As for the meaty portions of salmon and chicken, they were good but the teriyaki sauce was different, not sweet like we are used to. The chicken was meaty but not sliced thin, more like nuggets. The food was good but not what we expected.
