The locals seem to like it but I didn't care for the dirty place. There was even a roach on the drapes. We won't be going back there again.

This family owned business will knock you off your feet with their Italian dishes. They also serve the best fried gizzards and fried hearts this side of the Missippi River. They have a small but professional and attention to detail staff. They make you feel at home no matter who you are.
My Gosh, I have never seen such huge servings. From the beautiful, fresh salad to the main dish. We brought home doggie bags with enough to serve several more meals. If you are a big eater, this is the place for you. The service was pretty good, I mean, nothing wrong but nothing really outstanding either. It is a bit pricey also. Guess ya got to pay for all the for they serve.
After twenty years of dining at Grasso's I can attest to their food as being the best Italian in the Imperial Valley; far more delicious than that of their local competitors. My two special dishes are their Chicken Parmigiana and their Fried Chicken Livers. Yes, I did say chicken livers; try them just once. Their Fried Chicken runs a close second to the livers. All are served with pasta and sauce, delicious bread, salad, and soup. Grasso's wine selection may not be as extensive as some restaurants, but their house wine should meet your expectations every time.
Service is warm and friendly. After a first visit, customers remain strangers only by their choice.
Hands down, Grasso's is my favorite restaurant in El Centro for a simple meal or a special occasion.
