I stayed for one night after arriving at SFO and appreciated the well-designed rooms and common areas. My 1 bedroom studio room had an efficiently sized kitchenette with cooktop, medium refrigerator/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and coffee maker.
There was a large closet with wire organizer shelves, large shower (no tub), pull out roller table to serve as a workspace/desk and wall-mounted flatscreen TV. I might have preferred a more standard ergonomic chair for the desk. There is no in-room safe. The room was thoughtfully designed to maximize space.

There is a gym with good aerobic equipment and a well designed dining area for breakfast with indoor and outdoor seating. As typical for this brand, breakfast is included in the room rate and hot options included eggs, hash browns, sausage, oatmeal and make your own waffles. The usual coffee, tea, juices, and water are available. Free coffee is also available 24/7 in the lobby.

This is a new hotel and all fixtures are modern and in great condition. There is ample free parking. Close-by dining options include Panera Bread and Chipotle.

I also wanted to commend the friendly service at check-in by Dan Brown who was manager on duty.

I would definitely consider staying again next time I fly through SFO.

Spent one night with family in this hotel. It's a nice experience. The hotel front desk staffs were very friendly and helpful. He managed to upgrade my room at my request. The hotel looks rather new and clean. It's right next to a shopping center with many stores and restaurants. Very convenient.

So, to be fair, this hotel is quite a way from SFO, so one can only assume that the only reason they even HAVE a shuttle is to be competitive. So, as I arrived in the evening, the shuttle had apparently just left SFO, so I had to wait 40 minutes for it to return. On the return, it is scheduled to leave at the top of each hour, so I was downstairs at 6:50, and the shuttle left at 6:53. Fine by me, but I heard one of his three hotels (it is a shared shuttle) call on his radio to say that he had more 7:00 passengers, and he wouldn't turn around to get them, despite having left seven minutes early. I would have been livid.
All that said, the hotel is clean, pleasant and in a nice area. Foster City is already upscale, and the hotel is surrounded by a business park and mall. Not much open to eat late in the evening, however, there is a sports bar in the mall which stays open until midnight - it was adequate.
The front desk staff is very friendly, and really, that goes a long way with me, I think had they been even the LEAST bit insolent, this would be a two circle review rather than four.
Breakfast was ... well ... no more and no less than what one would expect. Sausage patties, eggs, potatoes, assortments of breads and cereal and juice. No high end chef, but certainly fine for a busy morning.
If you do elect to stay here, make sure that you map this hotel, so you can see where Foster City is relative to the airport; on a weekday morning, in traffic, the journey is about 30 minutes.
Finally, about the rooms: finally a hotel design that GETS IT! The bathroom door is a conventional door rather than a sliding design, the internet is strong and fast, and the room of ample size. Like so many hotels these days, the TV must be satellite, since the picture pixellates; that can be frustrating. I do wish the standard was cable and not satellite. Sigh. Overall, a more than reasonable place to stay.

I stayed here for 4 nights (from Thursday, April 5th - Monday, April 9th 2018) in preparation for pre/post surgery at a local hospital with Dr. Joel Beck with my mom who flew in from LA.

It was a great experience, especially given the price, and the location is unbeatable, especially for business/medical purposes (it's about 15 minutes away by car from the airport, and similarly as close to downtown San Mateo).

As other people mentioned, the hotel is super new, so the rooms are spacious, the internet is fast, the breakfast is good, and the staff is super accommodating and friendly. My mom, as a Platinum member of Marriott, loves to stay at Marriott properties, and definitely has high standards and expectations to boot.

From the housekeeping services to Dan, the front desk manager, everyone was super prompt and perceptive to our needs. This hotel exemplifies what Marriott hospitality is all about.
