Description: We invite you to step back in time to enjoy the charming atmosphere of this historical site and to partake in the English tradition of taking tea. Dori's Tea Cottage opened in May 2008 to continue this fine tea tradition and to expand on Dori's life-long love of tea. In 2012, Dori's expanded into the adjacent space that is now Dori's Cafe, which was Groveland's former U.S. Post Office. The Cafe features espresso, gelato, smoothies, fresh brewed iced teas, sandwiches, wraps, quiche, soup, salad and a variety of bakery items. We hope you enjoy your visit - whether you enjoy a quick breakfast, join us for our English tea luncheon, or "Build a Picnic" for your trip to Yosemite.

After an unfortunate experience at Firefall Coffee across the street, we stopped in here. The service was friendly, the vibe was cool (It was a charming little house converted into a tea shop.) Most importantly, the iced tea was very good.
It was VERY hot inside of this shop. Consider taking your items to go if it's a hot day. Also, be careful of the grumpy old business owner next door. He'll take your head off if he thinks you're trying to park in HIS precious spaces.

We definitely will return to this delightful little tea house. Salads are great, pastries are home baked and the service is excellent.

Make sure to make a reservation for afternoon tea! They have a front store where you can buy sandwiches and ice cream but in the back is a proper tea. What a great experience- and yummy too!

The owners made the experience exceptional. Loved the quality of teas as well as sandwiches. The location has an ambiance of an English Tea House. The seating is comfortable and nice. It reminded me of my visit to Jane Eyre's house. I will definitely recommend to travelers who venture out in that area. In addition, if you are a tea connoisseur, you will love this cottage for the tea accessories it offers.

Stopped here for lunch on the way to Yosemite. Food was OK, but not cheap and service was intermittent. We waited a long time for lunch and it was very hot inside the back room. Would try somewhere else next time

Thank you for your review. We appreciate your feedback, however, I wanted to point out that you visited us during a heat wave, our restaurant is an old building without insulation, and our A/C was doing its best to keep our place cool. In addition, you visited during at the height of our summer season, when we are extremely busy. We strive to provide good customer service. These are not excuses, but rather an explanation about why your visit was not optimum for you.
