I’ve stayed at Fern Grove for a few days the past 4 summers. We stay in a darling two bedroom two bath cottage with a wood burning fireplace, kitchenette and 2 private patios . The rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean, the décor charming and the grounds so beautiful. The breakfast consisted of homemade scones, biscuits, pastry, jams along with fresh cut fruit, bagels, orange juice, coffee and tea. Everything was delicious! The staff was very friendly and eager to assist in recommending local restaurants and activities. I thought we had a faulty outlet in one of the bathrooms and in less than 2 minutes the owner was in the room checking it out... turned out to be "user error". LOL! Wi fi was amazing and that’s important when you have teenagers.. but in town it's tough to get a signal... in fact almost impossible. It was the perfect location, you could walk to the end of town in 5+ minutes. I noticed in other reviews I read in the past people complaining about the street noise but I have no clue what they're talking about, not our experience. I look forward to returning next summer and recommend Fern Grove Cottages to everyone.

We’re glad we followed a word of mouth recommendation and chose to stay at Fern Grove Cottages. We loved the friendliness of the place. The fact that the cottages are located slightly off main road among big trees gives them an air of quiet haven. Our cottage (#8) came with all the essential amenities you need (including two wine glasses). The breakfast with fresh fruit and home-baked goods was simply delicious. We used the guest bicycles for an excursion to the amazing Armstrong Redwoods.

Our stay was September 17-23 2017. We did book the Basic Studio but it was comfortable with a nice patio....only in our room to sleep.... We enjoyed eating breakfast and had a few dinners, along with enjoying the evenings with a bottle of wine around the fire pit on the beautiful patio area behind the main house, breakfast was bagels, cinnamon bread, rolls, hard boiled eggs, fresh strawberries, yogurt, granola.......Jenny was wonderful in helping us from restaurants, to planning day trips, to the winery's and to kayaking. Can't wait to go back.... we met some very nice people around the fire pit
...The cottage grounds are gorgeous with flowers, butterflies and humming birds and we did encounter a raccoon one night by the fire pit!

My friend & I rented a two-bedroom cottage at Fern Grove Cottages & had a lovely time. The cottage was cozy, clean & nicely appointed. The cottages are nestled among the redwoods & surrounded by a lush garden. The breakfast buffet was quite good -- fruit, hard-boiled eggs, homemade granola, pastries, bagels, etc & excellent coffee. There's a comfortable lounge with a fireplace, games & a computer available to guests & also a great outdoor seating area with a fire pit. The owners are very warm & friendly & offer a wealth of information about what to do in the Guerneville area -- from wine tasting & hiking to shops & restaurants. We'll definitely be back!

Located right in the heart of downtown but still has the feel of being away from it all. The cottage we occupied had a Hawaiian theme, which we loved. Despite the extreme temperatures outside, the surrounding trees kept the room cool even with no air conditioning. A pool was on site and a generous continental breakfast was provided. Would certainly stay again when visiting the area.
