Spent 3 nights here at the deluxe cabin with hot tub .
The ranch is very out the way , which is what I expected, the snow was a meter deep , which I was glad about, as I had originally booked to come in December but was informed that last December the snow was late coming , so I didn’t want to take the chance of there being no snow .
The cabin itself is roasting hot , we had to leave the door open a few times to cool it down . The bed was comfy & the glass roof was amazing to watch the stars under .
The restaurant was beautiful, all be it the lighting at night was a little dark , the reindeers outside the window was a lovely touch . The staff were all lovely , although there was 1 member who wasn’t as friendly I don’t think . Couple of examples , when we wanted to sit at the table beside the fire we were told that was for 4 people ( even though nobody else was there yet ) however the next couple that came in asked the same to a different waitress & was told yes that’s fine & simply moved the rest of the cutlery to another table . I had also asked about the ice chapel & if I could see inside it , 1 of the girls were so helpful telling me about how they have weddings there & how it’s built etc & to just ask for the keys & I could be shown inside it.
So I asked if I could be shown inside to the girl who had refused the table , & she insisted we couldn’t see it , it was only for those who are getting married .
Anyway we asked the next day a different member of staff & they were happy to show us it .
Meals themselves , my partner was happy with the most of the options , lots of different meats . As for myself it was very limited ,(vegetarian) mushroom risotto seemed to be the only veggie meal . Which I had 2 days in a row.
When I asked about the veggie burger that was on the lunch menu , could I have that for a change I was told no that’s only on the lunch menu . So for me the dining experience was not the best .I feel there should have been lots more options offered , & not made feel like a burden asking for soy milk or vegetarian options .
The bus shuttle was from 10am I think & picked you back up at 4 pm , I honestly couldn’t stay in Levi for that length of time , maybe if I could ski it would have been different, however we ended up paying 40 Euros for a taxi back after 3 hours . So maybe look Into a more frequent shuttle service .
Finnair did also lose my case , apparently it’s a common thing to happen , so be warned , pack ur most important stuff in a bag & take on plane with u , just incase .
Would recommend doing the huskie ride , lots of fun & the dogs are friendly as was the guide .
All that said , it is a beautiful place to visit , very expensive,
To be honest , if it wasn’t for the snow , I wouldn’t have been impressed, so the weather definitely made it for me .
The dining experience has put me off as well as the not so helpful staff member .
