I have been here on many occasions now and every time I simply enjoy myself so much. There is a laid-back feel to this place that make I just right for a long lunch; the table clothes are hand embroidered (covered in plastic for protection from the tomato-y ragu!!), and the water jugs are all in the bright coloured ceramic-ware of Sicily. The food has always been outstanding, homestyle cooking. This time we had the Father's Day banquet and as expected, it was excellent! Salumi, Sicilian olives, bread and olive oil followed by, homemade pasta ragu, then a main of slow cooked lamb shoulder with a gremolata. With sides of eggplant caponata and a chicory salad. Dad also had his heart set on the meatballs with current so we got some of these delights too. Lunch was topped off with a perfect lemon ricotta canolli. This was a very special lunch and we all loved each dish. Too hard to pick a favourite! I'll be back soon!
