My wife and I took our two grandsons, daughter and son in law for a long weekend on the beach. We got the two best rooms in the house (you can say this about most of the rooms). From our perch on the top (fourth) floor we had a 200 degree view from Mexico to La Jolla and miles of ocean waves sweeping the shoreline. This hotel is right on the sand with a gate leading right down to the waves.
The rooms are spacious suites with a large sitting area, full length windows, additional sleeper sofa, small refrigerator, and all very high end.
The town of Imperial Beach is very laid back with the only high end restaurant being the one in the hotel. There's a craft brewery across the street with good food but counter service. A tiny cafe with a good inexpensive breakfast is also across the street. Most of the town is small bungalows and apartments. Get there before it gets discovered!More
