My family and I had stayed at Hotel CURRENT for 7 nights. The room was completely renovated, very spacious, and had all the amenities (Flat Screen TV, Keurig Machine, small refrigerator, two cordless phones, and more). The air conditioning was very strong and kept us cool. There are sliding barn doors that divide up the room, which is very nice since they don't occupy a lot of space. The bathroom is very big and consists of a nice, huge, walk-in rain shower.

There were a few cons but nothing major. When we first walked in, our room had a very strong smell; this led to us buying air freshener. The toilet flush pressure was very low, and we had to wait a couple of minutes before we could flush again. Also, the wifi was a bit slow and was limited to two devices per room. So, if you want to connect with a different device, you have to wait several hours before it resets.

The pool was fantastic: it's very freshing since the pool's cleaned every morning, and it goes all the way to 9 feet. The pool area also has lounge chairs, which is nice.

Regarding breakfast, there was a nice variety to choose from, but the eggs and sausage were tasteless.

For laundry, washing is $2.00 and drying is $1.75.

The hotel is located right off the PCH, so the ambience isn't that great. However, there are many fast-food places, restaurants, gas stations, and grocery stores, which is convenient.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay and was worth the price for what we had paid.

Room Tip: Try and get a room on the 1st floor, for there aren't any elevators!

Don't let the stars put you off this establishment. They have recently done renovations and it was a great place to stay. it is well located at a great price. A golf course located across from the street if needed. An awesome Brazilian restaurant next to the hotel which had amazing food.

We would stay here again

I've lodged at Hotel Current at least 4 different occasions the past few summers. It is a convenient location outside of the LA high prices and hustle. It offers a great pool area with reasonable dinning options, with 2 great breakfast places nearby. Breakfast was included with my stays, although filling, I find the same sausage links and powdered eggs gets tiresome after a couple mornings. The hotel is clean and nicely renovated, but certainly little attention given to details. SoCal tends to be hot in the summer; although the rooms offer air conditioning, they are older wall units that run obnoxiously loud ... you'll know it when the fan kicks on!

Room Tip: Guests are not the noise issue, it's the AC units.

We stayed here on business. The hotel appeared to be a remodeled motel, but we did not have any complaints and the stay was comfortable. The rooms had a fresh, updated appearance and was clean with a pleasant smell. The location was convenient, there was a complimentary breakfast area, and we would definitely stay here again.

I really enjoyed my two night stay in the hotel. It is an older property that has been very agreeably renovated. Right on PCH and convenient to almost everything. Rooms were well decorated in a funky but agreeable vibe. The furnishings were newer and modern, the bed was high but very comfortable, the shower was large with excellent water pressure, microwave, in room safe, large closet all made for a couple of very comfortable nights. One small downgrade would be the air conditioner noise. It was old, tired and not really doing much for the room but luckily the weather was mild and I could just turn it off. Breakfast was very nice with both hot and cold choices. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Plenty of restaurants to walk to in the area. I will absolutely stay here again on my next trip to the area.

Room Tip: The "golf course view" rooms face PCH with the golf course across the street so avoid them if traffic noise disturbs you.
