Such a cool place!
First off - it's located in an old, historic building. Getting to the 15th floor in the elevator is it's very own experience!
The restaurant décor is chic and comfortable.
The food was very good - we sampled many items and all were equally delicious, but my highlights were the mussels and the roasted veggies with quinoa (we asked them to chop the veggies to make it easier to share).
I would definitely go back to this hip and happening place!

This place was hopping! Decor is somewhat eclectic and comfortable. We had a table on the corner of the outdoor patio area - beautiful view overlooking the area. A band was playing - the singer was fantastic and really had the crowd captured. The waitress was excellent. The food was good - I had the salmon - not the best I ever had but none the less delicious. Definately worth the experience!

...depending on what you are looking for in a restaurant. At Perch you will be wowed by the view and the decor. A hip, upbeat atmosphere with good food that is no better than hundreds of other restaurants in LA. However, if, while spending top dollar for these amenities, you expect service to be efficient, cheerful and attentive, you will be sorely disappointed with this establishment where the bar staff was way too pretentious for my taste. No reason to ever go back.

In downtown LA for business and in charge for selecting restaurant for colleagues. Everyone was very pleased with their meal, most got short ribs. Brussels sprouts were also very tasty. As everyone has said - rooftop views and outdoor seating tops off the experience. The restaurant is actually on the 15th floor - and then rooftop on 16th floor. You actually take one set of elevators to the 13th floor then hop on another elevator to the 15th floor (the restaurant). Our elevator got stuck between floors which was a little frightening.

Recently checked out the rooftop at Perch. It is quite nice and has incredible views. The one thing to call out is that the line is a bit of a wait.

You first line up out on the street to get onto the elevator that takes you to restaurant level. There you must line up again to then get access to the stairwell that will get you to the rooftop. This can take 45 minutes to an hour. While you wait at the second line you might be able to get a drink from the bar, which will ease your wait.

Once you make it to the rooftop it is worth it. Not packed, which is probably one of the reasons for the wait. I'll rather wait a long time than get up and for it to be incredibly packed, making it impossible to move and more impossible to get a drink.

The bar is nice and the people attending it are polite and on a roll getting people drinks. You do not have to wait long for a drink. Would definitely plan to go to the rooftop at Perch again. Anticipating the long wait, it is worth it and enjoyable once you are up there.
