What can I say? The number 19 is a sandwich made in heaven! That pastrami was quite possibly the best I've ever had. Langer's is no fancy restaurant perched on a prime location (it's in a pretty rough part of LA actually) but the trip was so worth it. Parking is also readily available about less than half a block away.

Go for the #19! (on rye, of course - the bread is great)
If you must, have the corned beef, but on your second visit.

Great food in a dismal location, but well worth the schlep.

What can I say about Langer's? Its an institution ! If you havent been to this restaurant, Pls go and you wont regret it. You dont have the luxury of time,no problem they have curbside pick up that you can call in ahead. I just wish they open late( pls check hours) other than that you will keep coming back.....gtd....

They have been in business for so long I cannot remember and their pastrami and corned beef is as good as and better than Carnegie was when they were in NY. Kanters, Labels, Brent's, etc. do not hold a candle and if you question that go there. They close at 4.

I have been eating at Langer’s since I was in college, across the park, in 1981.
The quality of their deli sandwiches is
legendary, or there wouldn’t be lines and full houses, in the dicey community that has evolved around the restaurant over the years.
A testament to their continuing quality
is the very high prices they’ve had to levy
in the name of good ingredients.
The pastrami portion that was standard
20 years ago, is now the pricey “deluxe”
sandwich, with the standard pricing being assigned to a much smaller portion
offering.
If you have funds to spare, please enjoy
an L.A. classic deli.
