Staying overnight at the Crowne Plaza, boarding the NCL Jewel the next morning. Went to a local sports bar (Good Fellas on 6th St) to watch March Madness. A very friendly locals place, everyone in there recommended Neil's for dinner. Glad we took their advice.
Three of us ordered a bottle of Pinot Noir (delicious, not over-priced). Service was prompt and efficient. Waiter suggested the Pasta Pomodora (excellent). I had steamed clams, my DW a salad. The bread and cheese(mascarpone & tomato) was the best. If I lived in San Pedro I'd be haunting the place. Everything on the menu looked great.
My tip of the day. If you are in a new or strange city, go to a locals place and have a cocktail. Then ask the locals where to eat in the neighborhood. You won't go wrong. Even worked in New York City.
