Convenient hotel for family on a budget. Minutes to The Grove, shops and restaurants in Mid City/Beverly Center area, West Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Nothing fancy. Friendly staff. Some rooms can be connected into a larger suite.

Pro- affordable cost, clean, baths renovated, convenient location. Cons- 2 story, no elevator, rooms in need of renovation, linens not changed daily, window A/C unit a little noisy, parking area next to sketchy neighborhood.

The place is certainly not a luxury hotel, but the room was comfortable and clean, there was ample parking and it was convenient for where we were visiting. Walking distance to the Galleria and many restaurants. Nice coffee shop across the street.

The hotel is in a good location and eau walking distance to the Grove and Farmers market as well as a wholefoods. Rooms are basic but clean enough. We did have some problems with hot water on a couple of nights. They do need to improve security as anyone can enter the hotel and it would be a good idea to put a swipe on the hotel main doors as there was an incident while we were there. Our room window also looked like someone had tried to gain entry at sometime in the past and it hadn't been fixed. The room was of a good size and having a fridge was handy. Our room was pretty quiet. We would stay there again as we liked the location.

On first glance, the Park Plaza does not impress. It has a dated mid-century look with minimal updates. On closer look it proved to be just what I needed for my two night stay. It is located practically next door to both the La Brea Tar Pits and Museum, and LACMA. The wonderful Farmer's Market is a quick walk, with a WholeFoods even closer. As I was traveling solo and on a budget, I was able to eat well on the cheap. Service was friendly, the room was clean, wifi was great, bed was comfortable, A/C worked fine, coffeemaker and blow dryer were provided. Everything I need to be a happy camper!
