We loved visiting here and he such a great view. The kids and my sister laws first time in downtown LA and they loved it. The elevator was a treat but only better when we rotated in a relaxing atmosphere. Rotating on a 360 degree view was a perfect end to a fantastic day in LA. Highly recommended!

The staff was very helpful at the hotel. Their are numerous restaurants associated with the hotel, as well as a number of other restaurants on the 4th level more affordable. The king room was very nice and roomy. Towels were not the best however, better than many. The bed and linens were very nice. Great view from my 21st floor room. Other eating and shopping in the area. The elevators were open to the outside. Their food at our conference was very good and the waitstaff there was a exceptional. It was about $165 a night. They provided bottled water, coffee and tea in the room free. Appeared to be a safe area in evening and early morning as well as all day. About 45 min from airport. Taxi to airport about $50. I took and Uber and that was a good experience. Had a great pool outside, very nice. Would be fine for business or family. Only get wifi in room for a fee. the only time I heard anyone else was when I was in the bathroom, but sleeping etc was no problem with noise. Very good A/C.

Room Tip: Border Grill across the street VERY good. Starbucks in hotel and across the street. Higher up floors have the best view.

Since there was no separate category for the Bonavista Lounge, I am posting under the Hotel category. We have been to Bonavista Lounge and LA Prime Steak House on several occasions. Lounge has been somewhat hit and miss, but the view is great, and we can walk there from our apartment. Naturally we thought of the Lounge for July 4th fireworks display over LA. LA Prime would have been our preference, but the restaurant does not revolve while the lounge does. So, went to the Westin Bonaventure website to check out reservations for the 4th...was very pleasantly surprised to see there was a much-needed new lounge menu...happy, happy...made reservations right from the website via Open Table link.. Comes the 4th we walk over only to find a sign at the bottom of the elevator stating minimum purchase is $35/person.....This is NOT about the money...this about the principal, there was NO suggestion of a minimum spend either on the lounge website, the hotel website, or the reservation confirmation. Very tacky...of course we never even got on that elevator, turned around walked out.....We couldn't help but think of those people who had taken the time to drive DTLA, pay exorbitant parking fees for the holiday, only to find out there was a minimum purchase....TACKY, tacky...please, don't invite people to your door, wait until they arrive, and THEN tell them it's going to cost $70/ couple. As an SPG GOLD elite we expect better hospitality.

Stayed here for Anime Expo 2015. Service took a long time and one night, we were outright ignored. Good place to sleep, but the service is lackluster. The food court was good and the pool was okay. Our rooms were cleaned and stocked daily. Had a nice view.

I have stayed here several times and it is good option for downtown LA. Some of the common areas on the 2-4 floor need updating. Most rooms have a very a good view because of the large windows. You get free internet if you are SPG member, so make sure to join if you have not.

Room Tip: Get a higher room with a better view
