“New menu is good to fair.”

The California Salad is why we come to Purple Onion Café for lunch. Finding it has been removed from the menu was quite surprising. The explanation was that Purple Onion could no longer source the components and serve a newly opened restaurant with the same menu. The new menu is ok, but we would love to see the California Salad added back with greens, chicken, berries of various types, sometimes nuts, and yogurt based dressing. It was literally the most noteworthy and consistent lunch offering. The new menu includes a variety of salads and so all is not lost. In addition, last weekend, a salmon salad was featured that was good as well. But, please bring back the menu that Main St. and Winchester Blvd have offered for some time.

My first time in Los Gatos and we ended up here. The people are very friendly and helpfull, the sandwiches are really amazing.
This place looks hip and fresh. You should really go there!

I was going to a place to be a sandwich when visiting a friend in other hospital. Wow what a find. So good I had to go back the next day and try another sandwich. Both times the sandwich was extraordinary and creative. They both came with a salad on the side which complimented the sandwiches perfectly. I can't wait to try another one of their magical sandwiches. Skittle more expensive than some sandwich places but gives meaning to the saying, you get what you pay for.

Got there around 8am, expecting to grab a simple breakfast. That was the only open place around and looked nice.
Ordereda wheat bagel with plain omlet. It seemed as if the person preparing the food was going to prepare what I have ordered, but then I noticed him pulling a bagel from the display and heatong it up. To my question about it, the cashier said that it has been prepared a moment ago.
Well, the bagel I got was not wheat, it was not fresh and the omlet was wrapped in oily fat cheese. After few bites, it all ended in a trash can.

The combination of bad food, not matching the order, and then the feeling of the staff there being far from honest, makes you run. So I did.

I will never step a foot in that place

You can never go wrong when a cafe has sandwiches, salads, soups, coffee and pastries on their menu. Specially when you are getting together with friends for a coloring session.
