Calamigos Ranch…. The perfect staycation! To say this resort exceeded our expectations is an understatement. From our arrival to checkout all of the Calamigos staff made our entire trip remarkable. My husband and I decided to stay here for our birthdays and wedding anniversary and every day here was perfect. Upon check in my husband and I were greeted with a glass of champagne and our daughter with an adorable stuffed horse and a fresh melon juice. Since we decided to arrive before our check in time we got to spend some time by the pool and ordered some cocktails and appetizers, we definitely recommend the south of border cocktail, it was delicious. When we got to our room, it was the perfect dose of peace and luxury. From the outdoor seating area and outdoor tub to the lovely welcome basket snacks and wines in the room, every detail was thoughtfully planned and believe me we took notice. Our first evening there we had a private dinner on the vineyard lawn and Berto the food and beverage director made sure that everything was perfect and honestly just an overall romantic and peaceful evening. The next evening we got to spend some time at The Ranch Club and sat at the bar where we met A. J, literally the worlds best bartender. We asked him to make us his choice on the drinks and he did not disappoint, the drinks were...Calamigos Ranch…. The perfect staycation! After we sat for dinner where we got to meet Jordan and he made us feel as though we had been long time friends and family, he was so friendly and even brought us s’mores at the end of dinner so we could make them with our daughter, it was a delicious surprise for all three of us. The following morning I spent the day at the spa and got a massage. It was so relaxing and when I got back to my bungalow, the front staff had brought over a bottle of champagne and a huge bundle of balloons for our birthdays. It was such a sweet surprise and just shows how much detail the Calamigos staff pays to their guests. While all the staff is great we do want to say thank you to Adrianne for all of her attentiveness and generosity during our stay. We don’t think it would have been this lovely of not for you.
Overall Calamigos ranch was everything we didn’t know we needed from a resort, they’ve built a wonderful escape and we are so happy that we choose to stay here. Having been on lockdown and staying home for over a year, this was the perfect space to get away to, that isn’t far from home and yet still offers and provides all the luxury you’d want and need.
