I visited this restaurant a couple of years ago and will never go back. I ordered a dinner that came with "loaded" mashed potatoes (including bacon and non-kosher cheese) and specifically asked for PLAIN potatoes. I stated that I was both kosher and had a pork allergy. Many non-kosher cheeses contain pork rennet (the substance that makes cheese hard). When my plate arrived, there were bacon crumbs around the potatoes, and cheese and bacon grease stains on the mound of potatoes. It was clear that it had been prepared with pork and then the cheese/bacon topping removed. I complained to the manager that I was both allergic to pork and kosher, so I couldn't eat, even the residue of it without getting sick. He took the plate away. When the waitress brought the plate back, it had been wiped clean and looked like it was pork free. What I didn't realize until I'd left the restaurant was that the manager had the cook add a dollup of plain mashed potatoes on top of the pork-stained mound, INSTEAD of replacing it with ACTUALLY plain mashed potatoes. I was doubled over in pain for the next two days from the allergic reaction. I complained to Chili's corporate, but rather than doing SOMETHING to reprimand the offending, ignorant manager, they offered me coupons to come back again. It's NEVER going to happen!
