Great place to stay!

Great location and the hotel staff were fantastic! While checking in, the kids were given cute little stuffed sea animals and crayons along with coloring pages. Very accommodating and sweet! There are lots of great places to eat within walking distance and they have one of the best clam chowders in the hotel’s restaurant!

Still during covid

It was still during covid insanity that we visited Monterey. You had to wear a mask at all times, even outdoors. That being said, this hotel did offer a free breakfast of muffins and juice because the restaurant was not open. The valet parking fee is outrageous. The rooms are your typical Marriott rooms, nothing fancy.

Best Marriott during our June CA trip

We stayed two nights with two connected rooms. Rooms was modern and comfortable with a nice designed separate wash sink and shower/toilet room. Plenty counter space for stuff. One room was only shower and next one with tub.

We really enjoyed the short walk to beach as well as fisherman's wharf. Found a super cute crepes place for breakfast. The running trail from Fisherman's wharf to the tip of peninsula was nice to walk or run or bike on.

Services were excellent from front desk, room service, and valet parking staff. truly enjoyed the stay here.

A very good hotel in downtown Moterey

We stayed here for 3 night on a recent trip to Monterey and were not disappointed. The room was remodeled recently and a job well done. The hotel is in a great location near restaurants and Fisherman Wharf. The room had a great view of the bay and the wharf. The breakfast options for Marriott Elite members was quite good despite the pandemic situation. The front desk staff was helpful with a minor problem I had and resolved it quickly. All in all a very good Marriott hotel in downtown Monterey.

Excellent

I stopped by while on a motorcycle trip. I was staying on points but they still treated me like a king! When I checked in they upgraded my room because of status which was really appreciated. Sometimes when staying on points I seem to get “the look” or even better the announcement that “ oh I see you’re staying on points” especially after arriving via motorcycle. The room was very nice I wish I could’ve stayed longer, actually I’d like to take up residence here! The pictures that I grabbed really don’t do the room justice. Look forward to staying here again soon.
