An attractive old Victorian receives you and is the accommodations for dining. The rooms, at the rear, are older, but clean and very operational. The location is what would bring my wife and I back. A couple of blocks to Cannery Row, the Aquarium, and a very nice walking path. The very clean below level parking garage was nice. We felt very secure in the safety of our vehcile.More

Room was terribly outdated and bed was horrible. The sides of the bed were so worn that you couldn't lay in bed without rolling out. The AC didn't work properly. If you sat on your balcony you could see your neighbor to the sides and below you. The ceiling fan didn't work. Breakfast had no consideration for covid and no items were individually wrapped. Entry to parking garage scrapes your car terribly. The bathroom was updated with a nice shower and fixtures. Our view was a boarded up house across the street. I would never stay there again.

This is absolutely the worst hotel experience ever! Don’t be fooled by the decor! This hotel has no air conditioning and the room was so hot it was unbearable! Also, all the rooms with two beds are at the end of the hall or next to the elevator! We were next to an outer door that slammed every time someone came in or out! It was absolutely horrible!! We actually didn’t get to go out on the town because we had to stay in our room with the hall door and slider door open to try to cool off our room so we would at least have a chance to get some sleep! Worst hotel experience EVER!!

In Monterey, we typically have a moderate climate in the area, which allows for a cooling breeze effect. We do have tower fans in each room, as well as some rooms with ceiling fans. We apologize for the noise from the hallways. Our Staff does their best to assist in situations such as this by contacting the other party to help resolve the issue. The staff also tries their best to provide other accommodations when available. We apologize for the inconvenience and regret this made you think less of our hotel.

Comfortable room with a fireplace made it extra enjoyable. Located 1 block away from a park for dog-walking and a few blocks away from a dog daycare. Easy walk to Cannery Row and the aquarium. Parking easy. Luggage racks provided to transport personal items to room via elevator. A 12:00 check out time was especially appreciated so we could enjoy our breakfast and the hotel.

The inside of the hotel is just as lovely and Victorian as the exterior. The rooms were spacious and very nicely decorated. The option of the separate seating area was perfect, as it gave my husband a place to do work and not disturb me. The hotel is convenient to the Aquarium/Wharf walkway, that then follows the coast line. One block over and we found several good dinning spots. Having a parking spot was very nice and affordable. Breakfast was about as you'd expect, but they have a waffle maker beyond the regular offerings. Affordable, great service, impressive rooms and well located. The only down was our room faced Foam St and the traffic noise could get loud, but that's beyond the hotel's control, so not a knock against them. Upside, from our room we could clearly see the bay. This is now our place to stay when we're in Monterey Bay.

Easy to walk to Cannery Row and Aquarium. Graffiti and broken down house across street brings down appearance in the area. Staff was friendly, continental breakfast was average, it would be better if they changed the food every other day. Dinning area needs a large trashcan, Asian was quite small
