Ken and Susie run a great B&B. The B&B is comfortable, well furnished, especially the Tavern. The wine and cheese, entertainment in the tavern are the best for comfort and conversation. Susie's Breakfast are great, and the personal service is second to none. When we left after two days it was like saying goodbye to family.

As soon as we were greeted by Susie and her chocolate chip cookies, we knew we came to the right place. Between her amazing breakfast (which we are still full from) and listening to Ken's stories (and finding his hidden passages) we could not of asked for a better place to stay on our first, but not last visit to Napa. They are the ultimate hosts and truly enjoy what they do. They made sure we were comfortable, (did I mention fed?) and enjoyed our stay. What they did to this property is incredible and we cannot wait to get back.

Room Tip: Not a bad room in the house!

My fiancé and I took our first trip to Napa and had no idea what to expect. Upon arrival, we were greated by the famous Chef (and owner) Susie who could have not have been more friendly and welcoming, it was like visiting family. She took us on a tour of the property and showed us some neat mysteries of the mansion before showing us to our room. I booked the Count Bosni room as it had a fireplace...I couldn't have picked a better room! it is the largest room in the inn, complete with a whirlpool tub, and a beautiful sitting area around the cozy fireplace. The best part about the room was its proximity to the kitchen. Every morning we woke to the delicious smells of Susie's famous breakfast. Which may I add got better and better everyday. It got to a point that my fiancé and I looked more forward to breakfast every morning then to dining out for dinner around Napa. The property is very quite and relaxing and has many sitting areas and knocks both inside and plenty more outside. Before leaving for dinner every night, we joined the rest of the inns guests to a delicious, and instructional wine tasting at there very own tavern (if you see ken show up with a guitar, you better stay!) the worst thing I can say about this inn was the fact that we had to leave. Ken, seeing how sad we were to leave, gave my fiancé and big hug, shook my hand and called us his friends. STAY HERE! It will change your outlook on Napa and raise the bar on BnBs!

First, the Inn is as rich and elegant as an historic mansion with museum quality furnishings, but has the comfort and warmth of your Grandmother's house as a child.

The bed was superb. The area very walkable to shops and dinner. The location a pleasant drive to all the area sights we set out to see. The local wine selection in the Tavern served up with nibbles for social hour was amazing. The breakfasts were over-the-top and the caliber of the QEII (only without the rocking). We found we managed quite nicely with 2 meals a day because the breakfast was so amazing...

But the very best part of our stay was the Popes! Ken and Susie, if we did not live a state away, could quite possible be our best friends. They are so lovely and hospitable, I'm sure everyone who ever stays there is mentally planning another visit as soon as they are able!

We are already planning our next visit with friends who appreciate camaraderie, great wine, fabulous food, and the beautiful surroundings right out of an english fairy tale.

What can I say? Ken and Susie Pope were the perfect hosts. You can be as social or as private as you want in this gorgeous mansion from a bygone era. With Susie's gourmet breakfasts you can fill up and be good for the day. The Lady Margaret room was so quiet , roomy and inviting. My fiancée and I never felt so relaxed . Thank you so much!!!
