Owner description: Longest wooden pier on California coast at 1941 feet, 1/3 of a mile, there is a convenience store half way out stocked floor to ceiling with fishing pole rentals, bait, tackle, snacks and beverages, and a whole lot of souvenir's stuffed into a 7X15 foot space. Ruby's 50's diner is located on the end with breakfast to burgers and a view to die for. The pier it self is open 24 hours a day 7days a week

This is the longest wood pier on the west coast, if not in the world. It was a blast to visit with great waves, surfers and sunshine and the food at Ruby's with a view looked great also. I bought a Oceanside magnet from the tiny store on the pier and he actually had the lowest price in Oceanside for a magnet. You can feed the pelican their also. If I could afford it, I would move tomorrow. A wonderful Oceanside community. Kind regards, Friscoboy.

The pier is a good walk and a great photo stop but there isn't a lot to do. It's also difficult with strollers since the wood has gaps and is very uneven.

Sunsets are awesome from this vantage point. Rent one of the bikes that are below the pier and ride down the shore line. Very pleasant.

What a great place to relax and observe the ocean, surfers and local fisherman! We’ve really enjoyed our walks to the end of the pier and this morning had breakfast at the 50's diner at the end. Nicest pier I’ve seen.

The pier is a great place for a walk, lovely views of the beach, and some fun people watching. The weather is good year round. It's safe and easily accessible for strollers or wheelchairs to enjoy the ocean without worrying about the sand.
