Excellent sushi and friendly staff .
The sushi was pre seasoned to perfection.
Marlin was seated.
I would definitely recommend this place.

I've spent twice as much for much less quality fare. Prepare to be amazed by this place. Don't be fooled by the location. Quality sakes! Quality sashimi! We tried 12 different dishes and none of them disappointed.
This is pretty close to authentic Japanese sushi. The atmosphere is very similar as well. With that being said, there is one crucial thing that separates Japanese and Californian sushi - proportions. In Japan, sushi has perfect proportion of rice and fish, in California so far every place we went to overloads rice with huge fish piece which throws of that balance. Same goes for this place, smaller fish piece and this sushi would be perfect! Sometimes less is more.
Very good and fresh traditional sushi joint. All fish is fresh and lots of selection. Love the fried octopus suckers (special) . The place is very small and in order to book a table or at sushi bar you need to call between 5-5:30 pm , or you have to wait in line to be seated (long line!!!!)
We had the "omakase." (chef's choice) The sushi was very fresh, but most were from the rock cod or other white fish filet, No toro, sweet shrimp, hamachi, sea urchin, etc. Nevertheless, it was very fresh, with a good price. I wouldn't want to go here if you want a real authentic Japanese sushi meal, but it's ok if you want to try something different, but still fresh and tasty.
