I was staying in Pasadena for a few days and was told Colorado street has a lot of great food choices.

Luckily I stumbled into this place because it’s below my friends apartment. Nice full bar and big restaurant with great unique dishes.

Definitely give it a try.

PS they have a few in other cities. I think it was SF also.

First, if you're going to dine here on a Friday or Saturday night, make a RESERVATION! The place was packed on Friday at dinner and we waited 10 minutes even though we had a reservation. Second, if you want some peace and quiet, try to be seated in the back room off the main floor and away from the bar. The bar is crowded and noisy, but they all look happy! Third, try the Canoe For Two. A great sample of their appetizers, two of each: pork ribs, lobster potstickers, crispy spicy tuna roll, shrimp sticks. That is a wonderful way to start off your meal. Fourth, all the entrees are terrific. We enjoyed an order of Shellfish Sampler with lobster tail, scallops, shrimp and crab AND an order of Macadamia nut crusted Mahi-Mahi. Both were wonderful with a good drink from splendid bartenders. AND, we ended with warm pineapple upside down cake with a scoop of ice cream. Great Date Night Out!

We went here for the second time last week. This time with friends.

My wife is still raving about the dinner she had. A veggie roll with soup. She loved it.

One meal that should have been hot arrived out not. We called our waiter and pointed this out. We were disappointed because now one of us would not be eating with the rest.

Recovering from a blunder tells a lot about strength of character. Well the staff here dealt with the problem with care and attention. Not only did the Maitre d' follow up but the General Manager came by twice to make sure we were satisfied.

Then without prompting along came two complimentary desserts. They were delicious and a nice treat as we usually don't do dessert.

We were delighted with our experience here and the excellent recovery by the establishment from the initial faux pas. Thank you all very much.

We have eaten at Roy’s a fair number of times. As an example, we enjoyed an excellent December dinner with friends. During a January dinner our waitstaff was, best case indifferent and possibly worse. After dinner, both of us said we need to take a break from this place for awhile. And....we have.

In the meantime, the food remains delicious, pricing is fair and the dining room atmosphere is impressive....albeit a little noisy. The small outside patio is also a favorite.

I should also add that this was one person at one visit. During the previous more than 10 visits, service was consistently high quality, friendly and positive.
