The long weekend we spent at the Grand Reserve Inn was simply outstanding! If you love luxurious suites, beautiful vistas, great wine and excellent food, then the Grand Reserve is a must on your travel bucket list. The Inn managers cater to your preferences and prepare delicious cocktail hour experiences and breakfasts that are included in the room price. The Wilderotter Winery is walking distance. We had the VIP tasting and lingered for a couple of hours. The stay at the Grand Reserve was made more special when Jay Wilderotter, the Wine Master offered to take us and the other guests on a tour of the winery. A great experience and we will go back!
PS - There are many other wineries nearby and a fab restaurant in Plymouth - Taste.

We stayed at Grand Reserve Inn on the property of Wilderotter Winery in early May and loved it so much we opted out of dinner plans to maximize our time on this BEAUTIFUL property! Every detail in this Tuscan Villa is top notch. The property is breathtaking - wonderful for Wilderotter wine and appetizers by the fire pit while watching the sun set over the vineyards and hills with oak trees in the distance. Our room (Rhone) was beautifully appointed with a fireplace, spa-like bathroom, and wonderful patio with chaise lounges and a vineyard view. Ravel provided wonderful evening hors d'ouevres and an amazing breakfast. Can't wait to return!

Room Tip: Back corner rooms have wrap-around patios for expansive vineyard views

I'm reluctant to tell people about this place because I may never again get a reservation there. The Grand Reserve Inn opened in December of 2016. It's a beautifully appointed bed and breakfast. Our room included a gorgeous bathroom, fireplace, extremely comfy king bed, and a lovely patio overlooking a vineyard. You will never meet a friendlier more accommodating staff anywhere. Breakfasts were wonderful, charcuterie platters and wine tasting at the end of the day, and fresh baked chocolate-chip cookies in the evening. This amazing place in Amador County is our go-to place when we get a chance to head to wine country again.

Room Tip: South-facing rooms are sunnier and overlook the vineyard.
