Woo hoo, we are new to California AND just became wine club members! Best sangria ever! We love Sutter Creek and the new friends we made here!

Cheers!

This tasting room of the winery is an old house located on the main street in Sutter Creek. it has that old home smell so having the front door open let in some much needed fresh air. The flights are reasonably priced and Lisa, our pourer was friendly. I would recommend visiting the winery for other local wineries for the views rather than the store front location.

We decided to visit this winery and taste in the tasting room and were hit with several disappointments. First, unlike any tasting room we have ever visited in our lives (and we have been to MANY), this tasting room collects the money for your tasting fee before they ever pour you a sip! Tacky! My guess is that they know they make terrible wine and they have probably had tons of people hate the wine and refuse to pay, so now they take your cash upfront. However, this was the FIRST thing that put us off. The person pouring our wine for tasting was extremely inflexible... again, completely unlike any other experience we have had anywhere else! There were a set number of tastes available from each tasting list (Flight of Mischief, Flight of Shenanigans, and Flight of Tomfoolery). We made our choices but asked if we could substitute one of the tastes for one of the wine selections from the other list... well, I'd like to say that the catchy fun names of their flights means you will have a fun experience, but unfortunately, for a place that names their flights in such a lighthearted way, they are the most stodgy place on the planet and stick to their Nazi-like rules with a vengeance. No changes allowed. The THIRD disappointment was the taste of the wine... horrible. We actually could smell and taste on the first pour that the wine was bad (as in "went bad") and when we told the person pouring, she poured herself a taste, and said, "it's fine"... so there you have it... they clearly set the bar very low... it was really bad. I wish I could say that this was a great experience as we really wanted to enjoy their wine and return with friends in the future, as it is local to us and the tasting room is large and inviting and can accommodate large amounts of people (probably the only thing this place has going for it), but sadly, unless they build a business catering to people who have dead taste buds, they will probably not be in business much longer. They have no sense of customer service and don't produce a good product. Oh, and they are so bad, they don't even apply the tasting fee to your purchase if you buy wine... whether it is one bottle, two bottles, or a case! Classy...

We tried this Winery with a Groupon. Tasting is normally $5 pp. the Groupon included 8 samplings and a take home bottle with a $24 value, there were several choices. First and foremost they are Dog friendly which most if not all of the Local Wineries are but it's always nice to know ahead of time.
This is a great place to sit out on the Patio and view the beautiful countryside, sip on some delicious Wine or homemade Cider and have a piece of Pizza. There is a Ping Pong Table and Lawn games. Plenty of seating too. They couple that run, own or just work there are really nice and knowledgeable. After we wine tasted we had a Mimosa ( several flavors available) on the patio. We really enjoyed our visit and will be returning soon

I joined the wine club, after tasting at their tasting room in Sutter Creek, Cinque. We are very happy that we did. Friendly people in the tasting rooms and very good wines for the price.
