This hotel is well situated with a short walk to the beach. It's not the worst, not the best place to stay.

There is no view from this hotel. Parking is below ground level under the hotel and there is no elevator. This is a two story hotel with narrow stairs leading up to both levels. It can be cumbersome carrying your luggage up to the second floor as we had to do.

While our room was clean, most of the lights in the room did not work. The bathroom is tiny. The sink has little room to place your necessities on. The lighting to put on makeup or fix your hair is not good. It was a rather small room, with a small table and chairs to sit at. The bed was fairly comfortable and clean. The microwave and coffee pot worked fine. A plus was a small fridge to hold bottled water and beverages.

The room itself was rather dark. Every light fixture had a bulb in it, but most of the bulbs did not work. The parking garage was neat and clean but you have to have the ability to climb stairs from the underground garage to the first or second floor of the hotel.

Free breakfast was offered but we didn't choose to eat here. The space where the breakfast was served was extremely small and could easily be very crowded. Outdoor seating is available but it's a little walk from where the food is and the seating is located.

I know the prices in this city are all pretty outrageous but this establishment isn't worth more than $45 to $50 per night at most. They did provide a hairdryer, ironing board and iron, tv, microwave, coffee pot and small fridge. We did not find an ice machine. There aren't any restaurants within walking distance.

Room Tip: Room 107 on the ground floor looked like the most spacious of the rooms we saw.

I grew up in the area of this hotel and needed a one night stay at a hotel close to Palos Verdes Estates, as I was attending a reunion dinner with old high school friends from 39 years ago. Normally on my visits to this area, I stay with friends, but they were traveling, thus my hotel stay. I found three other hotels in the area (within 5 miles) which were substantially cheaper then the Redondo Beach Ramada Limited, but I opted to "play it safe and go with a well known branded hotel which is AAA rated". Well, that was a TERRIBLE decision! This hotel was poorly maintained and totally dated. I felt that I was staying in a dive hotel along some deserted highway in the Midwest somewhere. The walls were sparse with only one picture hanging crooked on a dirty poorly painted hotel room. There was a broken wall outlet and a tiny yellowed microwave oven which looked like it was from 1985. The frame around the door allowed light to show through in large gaps around the door, which was indicative that the door had been poorly replaced for whatever reason. The floor of the hotel room was dirty scuffed cheap looking wood laminate with no rugs. The bathroom was disgusting. There were two different shades of paint and obvious wall and roof patch texturing and mold. There was a rolled up yellowed bath mat on the tub edge that had to be a few years old. During my stay there were a few seedy individuals hanging out on a front ra dom picnic bench on the property, but I do not know if they were guests. I couldn't believe that I paid over $160 for a night here with my AAA discount. When I first received an email from Ramada Inn Corporate about my stay over two months ago, I relayed my experience in hope of some type of refund, but I have received no response whatsoever. My advice to you would be to stay at one of the several other hotels in the South Bay area (Redondo Beach/Hermosa Beach/Manhattan Beach/Torrance) and to read at least a page or two of Tripadvisor reviews.
