Owner description: V. Sattui Winery is a family-owned property located in the heart of Napa Valley, which was founded in 1885 and makes more than 60 different wines with dozens of 90+ point rated wines among its current vintages. It is a stunning, must-see Napa Valley destination for picnics, weddings and events, offering an impressively robust Cheese Shop with more than 200 selections, an excellent Deli directed by Chef Gerardo Sainato, and a Salumeria directed by Stefano Masanti. The sprawling estate includes two-dozen picnic tables nestled beneath ancient Valley Oak trees and tri-level terraces that overlook beautifully manicured gardens and vineyards.

Our driver recommended their deli for lunch, and we enjoyed picking out some cheese and several things from the deli like delicious bacon wrapped figs and headed out to the picnic tables outside to enjoy the beautiful day. There was bread, lots of cheeses, and sandwiches as well as other delicious choices. I imagine that everyone could find something to suit their fancy. Great alternative to an expensive restaurant if you are more interested in getting in more tastings and wineries than spending time at a restaurant.

Nice selection of biscuits and cheeses make this a great stop to buy something a bit different. Tasting is pretty good, and was far generous in the week, than I guess they are at the weekend.
Nice place to sit outside, though pretty close to the road and the railroad, but very convenient.

We stopped in for a wine tasting on our trip to Napa and Sonoma. The sweet white wines were amazing. The gentleman doing the tasting new a lot about the area and found wines that agreed with my taste buds. The Deli had cheese, oils, and mustards for free tastings. The gold mine however is the prepared foods in the deli. The crab cakes are to die for so sweet they melt in your mouth, they have so many choices from sandwiches to macaroni and cheese with truffles.

V. Sattui Winery was a great stop to have lunch with some bottles of wine. They have an upscale sandwich and cheese shop where u can get food and wine to eat in the outside picnic area. Large gift shop too allows you to meander a bit between wine tasting stops.

We made reservations for their fireside tasting. We were under the impression we’d be sitting around a fire in comfy chairs tasting wine. There was a fireplace in the room, but we were sitting around a bar for our tasting (at least we were sitting & comfy!) The wines were good and we were actually served a couple of extra tastings. Our server was so very informative and personable until the end when we told him we were not interested in purchasing any wines. He left us & did not check with us again as we were finishing up nor did he thank us for stopping in.
The building and area are absolutely beautiful.
