Bogie's is one of the few places that I will drink the house brewed coffee. It's really pretty good w/o being an espresso-style coffee. And, the food is most delicious- there's organic salmon fillet in the salmon scramble in lieu of nova lox. YES! Also, the menu is a fun read...they even have a special named after me. Really!

One of the best lunches I have had in a long while and we have been touring California for 3 weeks. Came upon this restaurant by chance and would recommend anyone to drop in for lunch or breakfast.

Went to Bogies this morning for breakfast. It is a small restaurant with a lot of Bogie memorabilia on the walls. I had two eggs, bacon, their special Yukon potatoes with green onions and tomatoes and onions and one slice of sour dough toast. It was a good breakfast. That and a cup of coffee was over fifteen dollars.

We stopped in as my friend works across the street and he's been in this small restaurant many times. The food lived up to his past comments and prices are very fair, BUT it's very noisy in here. The tables are close to each other and it was difficult to have a conversation.
With most of the tables filled and people on both sides of us talking, this is TOO LOUD a place.
In other breakfast and lunch places with low ceilings, the noise also can be a problem. Higher ceilings help to disperse the noise in a room, and so do different ceiling materials.
This is Marin County, not NYC or Chicago where noisy restaurants are the norm. Regular customers here must be accustomed to the noise. The next time I need to have a quick lunch at or near the Civic Center, I'll go to Chalet Basque a mile away.
