I've played this course many times in the past 15 years. It's been pretty well-kept, but not really user friendly, especially for me. I've has my share of birdies and pars here, but had many more double and triple bogeys. And the 9th hole has an island green, and I've probably lost well over 100 balls in the moat around it. The driving range is nice. and it has lights until about 10pm.

This course is OK if you are looking for a local course that isn't too expensive. The course had been upgraded in the past 5 years or so and was in pretty good shape. The long term problem is the new owner wants to rip it out and build homes. I wonder how the people that bought homes with the backyards on the course feel about that.

As far as the course goes, it isn't terribly long nor terribly difficult, but if you have a slice, bring a lot of balls as you can lose them very quickly. The obstacles include creeks, ponds, and all the homes lining the fairways.

Although fairly inexpensive San Ramon Golf Club isn't my favorite course in the area. They consider it a 'resort' course but it's more of a muni. Homes are very close on just about every hole. The condition of the course isn't as good as it could be although the greens are not bad. Try Callippe for a better golfing experience.

Took golf lessons here at a reasonable rate for 5 weeks. Good beginner lesson but would have been made better if there would have been another instructor so that you could get a little more individual attention. All in all not a bad deal for the price. They also have a nice driving range and putting green that is available to the public.

I have played here many times. The recent upgrades have made the course a little more challenging and the greens are in great shape, fast and fun. If you can get on early you have a better chance of not getting backed up as sometimes the groups management could be better! Love the new carts!
