Beautiful views of the sea and a great place to stop if you're heading up highway one. At the minute its closed but we stopped here heading north, went back to the 101 and down the local road, took about 2hr30 which wasn't bad!!

Rooms and view of the ocean from our room were much better than expected. We chose this place to stay given its very close to Hearst Castle. Pool is supposedly heated but it was definitely cool. Still went in though as we are Canadians afterall! Was very nice to have a pool to swim in. Our only complaint is the restaurant is over priced. We walked in, looked at the menu, then walked out, and decided to have dinner at the quaint little village of Cambria instead where there are lots of dinner options at various price levels.

Beautiful views! Sleeping with the windows open we could hear the waves crashing all night. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The room was stocked with plenty of towels and personal items. Great place for a weekend getaway.

This little hotel is not for you if you are looking for somewhere fancy but it is perfect if you are on a budget and want a nice place to stay close to the beach. The rooms are nice but in need of an upgrade. Free parking as well

A no-frills room with a view of the ocean for under $100! Situated on a bluff across the highway from the ocean, this is a clean, no-frills motel that is perfectly satisfactory. We worried that we would hear lots of noise and commotion from a vintage car group that were arriving and setting up a large gathering in the center of the property, but truly, things were extremely quiet after the sun went down. Restaurant on the property is fine, though pretty pricey for the quality of the food. If you want to stay somewhere super close to Hearst Castle and the Sea Lion Rookery, than this is a fine choice.
