Owner operated for 23 years! We had just stayed at a Quality Inn and a Travelodge in the same area around the same price and this was better. Very clean! Well run and organized. Lovely woman who usually runs front desk who is one of the owners. Could have a little more elaborate breakfast and should fence off/block pool from street with plants, fences etc.. to make it more private and family friendly. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: For quiet away from street get upstairs in back

stayed for orientation for the university. Bed is nice and comfortable. Room is nice and clean. Comes with wifi, tv, refrigerator, and AC. Breakfast was pastries, cereal, toast, juice and milk. It was nothing special but something nonetheless.

Near downtown and boardwalk. Very good for price. I would definitely come again!!

Basic hotel, good location but on a busy street so noisy even though I asked for a quiet room. Clean. Owners are friendly. Not much of a breakfast. Free parking and a few spaces are covered. Prices are fair.

This property was a great find. We decided on an impromptu trip to Santa Cruz just a few days before leaving. I booked the room (2 queens, one room) and looked forward to our Memorial Day getaway. We had a late arrival and after a very long drive with extremely heavy traffic which made the normal 2 hour drive a 4 hour drive we were tired and ready to check in. We found that the motel had not received our reservation. We showed them the confirmation and gave them the number but somehow that had not been delivered to the motel. The owners were very kind and found us the room we needed and at the price we had been promised. The motel has a swimming pool and a small, tight parking lot but everything was well kept and clean. The room itself was a bit small but we didn't go to Santa Cruz to stay in the room so it was just fine. It was very clean and smelled good, it was also tucked into a small alcove off the corner so we heard no traffic sounds and no noise from other rooms. They do have a refrigerator and microwave in each room but no coffee pot. The bathroom is small but lots of big fluffy towels and washcloths. Again everything was just spotless. They provide a small complimentary breakfast of assorted breads for toasting, jam, butter, jelly, cereal, juice, milk and coffee or tea. The beds were fresh smelling, very comfortable and we slept very well. The next day the owners told us they had researched our reservation and to my horror I had accidentally booked the hotel for the next weekend! It was my fault they had not received the reservation! They were very gracious about it and I apologized profusely for my error. I would and will stay at this motel again as it was a great price and a great place to stay. Lots of local dining in the area but not as close to the beach as we thought and chose to walk there the first day and found it to be a few miles away. (We took a cab home for 9.50 plus tip it was worth it not to have to pay for parking or fighting the terrible traffic in that area etc.) There are several ethnic restaurants in the walking area including Italian, Indian, Mexican and American. I gave this motel 4 out of 5 stars only due to the tight parking lot, had it been a little easier to back the car out of the lot I would have given them 5 stars.

Room Tip: Choose a room towards the back. While we did not hear any noise at all, the hotel is on a very bus...
