We had a late flight from NC and arrived at the hotel around 10pm. I had called ahead and let them know we were coming in later. Hector greeted us and helped us with our room. He even moved his car so our rental SUV could fit into a parking space as they are kinda tight for larger vehicles. The area the motel is located in could be kinda sketchy so get your things, lock the car and go in your room. There is no AC, so we had to keep our windows open as it was over 80 degrees which made me kinda nervous but also kept the room cool. We had a 2 bedroom and it was a cool layout. This is a neat place to stay as it is different from your typical Hilton or Marriott hotels.

We arrived here after a long drive from Vegas on our 2 week road trip. We checked in and whilst waiting at the window they call reception we were approached by a homeless man who was acting very strangely. He asked us for a blanket which we politely said we didn't have. He then proceeded to watch us the whole way to our room and stand outside the room intimidating us. Even the owner of the hotel looked weary of this man. We then looked around the room which seemed clean enough but the bed was very uncomfortable and the bathroom was so tiny you would not have even been able to get dry in that space. The bathroom door would not shut properly and when you flushed the toilet it rattled like it was about to fall off the wall. However our main concern was our safety and the lock on the door was not very sturdy. The Jack in the Box across the parking lot was busy and noisy and one of the clubs/bars was very noisy. We decided after spending half an hour in this hotel that we did not want to stay here. We found a best western a short drive away and stayed there for the full 3 nights! Massively disappointed and the hotel was still a half hour walk away from Santa Monica Pier so not as easily accessible as you would think from other reviews. We had a great time in L.A but would not recommend this hotel!

Booked this for one night before we flew home, over priced no breakfast no tea etc making facilities. Looks lovely from outside however right behind a 24 hour drive inn lots of homeless hanging about, walls paper thin, could here next doors tele slept terrible. 20 minutes walk to beach, defiantly not a super deluxe room bathroom tiny.

We stayed here for one night. Very close to the Santa Monica pier! The lady at the front desk was nice and gave us different keys to check out different rooms we could stay in. I really liked that she gave us the option verses just picking a room for us.
The beds and pillows were comfy and clean. The rooms were clean as well. There was no AC during our stay but they weren't needed. There was plenty of fans and we did use them. Oh and there was a mini fridge we used during our stay and it was also clean.

Neighborhood was quiet at night and no rowdy neighbors. The Jack-In-the-Box is right in front of the motel in case you get hungry. I'd definitely stay here again. I only gave 4 stars because I don't know what this place is like for more than one night.

Hotel is old but the rooms are clean and have some beautiful decor which gave it a homely feel. We had a room at the back which was really quiet and the staff were friendly and really helpful with information about Santa Monica. Buses 2 mins and a short walk to the beach, Pier and shops.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are the quietest
