We stayed here while trying to do a bit of wine country touring. I had stayed here many years ago for business, and was delighted to come back. We checked out the possible rooms and chose the most expensive, which was an upstairs room overlooking the vineyards. Comes complete with fireplace and whirlpool tub. The room is nicely decorated and comfortable and quite large, at like 800 square feet. It was quite and serene.
So why only four stars? We specifically asked for a room overlooking the vineyards, and our room would have been just that, if not for the very beautiful but very large and a bit overgrown tree right in front of the window. If you looked just right through the leaves, you could get a peak at the vineyards.
We still very much enjoyed our stay and the balcony, but not as much as we would have if we could have overlooked the vineyards. The manager was very quick to apologize and took some money off our bill.More
