Not much to say here that hasn't already been said in all the positive reviews. This is an excellent inn with great hosts and an amazing breakfast. I really liked the service attention to detail, table settings and serveware. Pam and Larry are very friendly ensuring everyone has a great day planned. We arrived early, were warmly welcomed, received a full tour of the grounds and were surprised to find our room was ready for us.
I don't get any of the negative reviews and found them to be pretty amusing. This is a restored historic inn, don't stay here if you are expecting an elevator, modern bathrooms, can't figure out how to get in/out of a claw-foot tub, or don't understand local farm-to-table cuisine.
A few things to note: many reviewers have been bothered by the street noise, we didn’t even notice it and stayed on the first floor but we did notice the creaky floors in the mornings if those above us were up and moving around. There was no wine tasting at the inn during our stay so not sure if they still do this as others have reviewed but they offer a wine passport which allows you to do wine tastings in the area for free. There is no private space outside your room but plenty of common areas to enjoy which were mostly empty during our stay: front porch, back deck, redwood deck with fire...Not much to say here that hasn't already been said in all the positive reviews. There is no private space outside your room but plenty of common areas to enjoy which were mostly empty during our stay: front porch, back deck, redwood deck with fire pit, lavender garden with swing and bistro tables, dining room with a piano and library. They have blankets on hand if it gets chilly and will light candles for you on the deck. The rooms are very clean and offer decent toiletries, bathrobes, an iron and plenty of towels. The owners dogs are around but I never heard or barely saw them at all during our stay I don’t think they come into the house. Coffee, tea, and water are available all day and fresh baked goods in the afternoon, and are self-serve. There is a small communal mini fridge where guests can keep items in on the ground floor. Staying here was great on days we wanted to hike at Sugarloaf or Anadel parks. Pam gave us great directions for a scenic drive to the park and the canteens they leave in the room for you were perfect amenities.
