We recently stayed at the inn for two nights and had an absolutely amazing experience. The location cannot be beaten- the view of the San Francisco lights at night across the bay and the sun rising from the balcony was tranquil and incredible; and steps away from the Ferry. The breakfast and complimentary wine were a fantastic touch to the cozy inn. All the staff we encountered during our stay were very accommodating, friendly and personable. An absolute must for a romantic getaway.

Room Tip: Every room faces the bay

A boutique hotel/inn overlooking the Bay with a panoramic view from the balconies of the small number of rooms from the San Francisco skyline to the Oakland Bay Bridge, Alcatraz and on to Berkeley. A mesmerizing flow of traffic on the water, including the ferries arriving and departing from the dock next door. An easy drive into SF and up into the countryside/vineyards to the north. Excellent food a walk away and fine staff.

Room Tip: Third floor for best views

I waited at the desk for some time without acknowledgement while the tall white man at the desk talked with a tall white male customer in a blazer. They went on and on about personal stuff and wouldn't even glance in my direction. I was there to book a room but had to actually call the front desk to even get anywhere. The phone was answered by a different man than who had been at the counter. When I told him what had happened and was obviously upset, he told me he wasn't the person who did it and to get over it so we could start over. Incredibly rude. Suggest you find somewhere else to stay that won't discriminate based on who you are.

This hotel is perfectly located - literally on top of the waters of SF bay. The queen rooms are a little small but this is easily compensated for by the clever layout, so they don't feel cramped. Our room opened onto a fabulous glass balcony with glorious views. We had a log fire, super large bathroom, a very comfy bed with top quality linen, great bathrobes. The staff couldn't have been nicer - super professional and very helpful (booking restaurants etc). We borrowed 2 bikes from the hotel (very good quality) and took the ferry across the bay and cycled back over the Golden Gate Bridge. A fabulous experience. There is a great continental breakfast buffet with masses of choice of good quality fruit, pastries, eggs, quiche etc and complimentary wine and cheese every evening. A lovely, relaxing hotel in easy reach of the city. Highly recommended.
