If you go here for one thing...let it be at least
either their Chicken or their Cheese. This Deli
has an extensive Wine selection, but is not cheap.
They also have a good selection of Ciders,Belgian,
& local beers. They do make some fairly good
Italian dishes for takeout. They somehow seem
to pack in thousands of items in such a small shop.
They have everything from light bulbs to Pate & then
some. Sadly, they have youngsters who are really
not that sophisticate nor knowledgable working in
the Deli....so you cannot expect much beyond the
basics. Despite their general lack of culinary mastery
they general can put together a decent sandwich.
The prices here really reflect this pricey area & you can
see prices exceed that of Whole Paycheck market.
It is easy to come in for just one item & walk out minus
$100 for a few things.
If you watch what you buy, you do not have to spend
a fortune. While there are no real bargains to be had
here, some items are not too bad.
For some reason, the freshness of the milk can be
problematic at times, so one avoids getting stuff
like that here if possible.
Sadly, the only place you can eat is at an non-comfy
outside table. Since most customers are either
locals or are staying at a nearby hotel, that is not
a problem...unless you want a quick breakfast.
Since they have a little bit of everything, it can take
an hour to really take a good look at all the goodies
here....ranging from frozen duck breast to Biscotti.
There take out large Italian dishes are great to
serve unexpected last minute guests & are far
cheaper than the local restaurants.
