American Home Cooked Diner Food..great prices
Two college girlfriends (50-somethings) and one very active mom (80-something) stopped for lunch at this little place in Sonoma. We had driven by it many times, and decided to try it this time.
What an experience! The kitchen and grill area is small and efficient, and visible behind a bar where the locals sit. The seating is comfortable at tables throughout the old style diner, and memorabilia covers the walls. Tables surround the perimeter of this quaint old place next to windows with a view of 'Broadway" in Sonoma.
They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, along with excellent local wines by the glass or bottle..
The food was plentiful and excellent, served quickly and hot, by a cheerful young waiter. The owner stopped by the customers' tables to chat and make sure we were happy.
We highly recommend the Vella Blue Burger.
Next time, it's breakfast!
