The challenge is grabbing a table if they are busy. You order at the counter and the food is brought to your table. The menu has plenty of creative options. The eggs with the homemade salsa, the lemon ricotta pancakes and French toast were good. While we didn't order the pecan waffles looked very tempting also.

We have been coming here for several years (albeit, only once per year). I have never been disappointed. This time, they had a new item on the menu, a pork posole verde dish. Ordinarily, I wouldn't think of this combo for breakfast - but man, did it work on a cold morning!

The sauce was beautifully seasoned, and the chunks of pork were tasty too. I really liked the added touch of the fried soft boiled egg!!

My son had my previous favorite dish - corned beef hash. You have to picture large chunks of potato and corned beef, with the whole grained mustard lining the bottom of the plate - a yummy concoction!

didn't get photos of the pancakes or corned beef - they were devoured quickly!

They have both indoor and outdoor seating - and it does get pretty busy.. well worth it though!

Driving south from San Francisco to Santa Barbara we took an exit at Templeton and found Kitchenette - a small pearl. Lovely staff - great food and the cafe latte double shot, was really really nice.
If you get to be in the area, you should have your pit stop here.

I have had breakfast at Kitchenette several times and have been working my way through their menu. Each dish is fresh and unique with impeccable ingredients - the morning glory is an English muffin with eggs, sausage and cheese - the BLTA with a fried egg is another great sandwich choice. The waffles and pancakes are amazing and change seasonally. If you are in the mood for Mexican, try the chillaquillas or the breakfast burrito. There are also fresh breads, croissants, and a daily quiche. Every item on the menu is fresh and locally sourced - kitchenette also offers a lunch menu with several sandwiches and an amazing burger!!!
