Upon first seeing the hotel from the outside it looks like a rundown hostel but looks are decieving, the hotel reception is lovely and simple. We were surprised with an upgrade to a suite due to the visit being a birthday gift. The rooms are very dated and in need of an upgrade but they were adaquete, and it served it's purpose. The gym is in need of a refurbishment but the equipment they have was enough for a quick work out, a treadmill, bike and weights machine. I didn't use the pool but it is small quaint area to sit and relax.
It is located in a very trendy neighborhood, the juice bar a few doors from Kitchen24 is great, there are lots of restaurants around and friendly people everywhere you look.
Be sure to use Uber to get around it was a great way to see the city and for a reasonable price, I recommend using Uber liftshare, we met the most amazing people and drivers during our stay who gave us hints and tips for our stay and 9/10 they worked and made our stay more enjoyable.
Overall the hotel is good for the money we paid and did it's job. Being in LA you rarely stay in your room so don't spend big on a fancy hotel when all you need is a bed and a guide to the city.More
