We stayed at Crystal Peak Lodge Jan. 30, 2021 through Feb. 5, 2021. The two bedroom condo was very spacious, nicely decorated, and clean. It felt up to date. The staff was very friendly and helpful in resolving any little issue that came up. (For example, the t.v. in the family room did not work right at first. It was fixed less than 30 minutes after we called about it.). The convenience of the Crystal Peak Lodge is hard to beat. It is literally steps to the Peak 7 lift. If you need to ski green runs (none available on Peak 7), you can take a 5 minute gondola ride over to peak 8. The gondola is also just steps away from the lodge. There is free garage parking, so you can easily drive the 5 minutes into town. I am sure there are other ways to get to town, but we liked driving our own car. We will definitely stay at this lodge in the future.

Room tip: Lift side rooms can be loud during the day and may not be right for everyone.

No housekeeping service during a 7 night stay did little to make us feel clean and safe during a pandemic despite the resort's assertions this is why they discontinued the services. Had to request clean towels more than a day in advance. No hot tub, no sauna, no amenities of any kind yes right next door at Grand Lodge on peak 7 the hot tubs were obviously open and being enjoyed by guests far wiser than us.....will never book accommodations with Crystal Peak again.

We stayed before at One Ski Hill, next door on Peak 8. Yes, it’s a bit more upscale and a better hotel, but this place is also amazing and given the fact that guests here can use all the facilities of One Ski Hill, just a 2 min away gondola away, makes this a no-brainer!
The apartments are fantastic. Ours was a two-bedroom and two baths. Nice kitchen and living room.
I read about the service, specially at the front desk not being great and even rude. This was not what happened with us.
The best of all is its location! Peak 7 Independence chair is literally twenty steps away and so is their cafeteria. For blue trail skiers such as us, nothing better!

we enjoy the sking in Breckenridge and this was a great place to stay and met all our expectations . the halls are rather narrow and elevators small for hauling lots of junk around but workable . nice place .

Disclaimer this is my first trip to Breckenridge and it is early in the season so I try to be extremely fair and transparent. Please look at the number of excellent reviews and when they stayed, also the possibility they are NOT skiers. We booked early in the season - Independence chair was closed. If that chair is closed you do not have ski out! You can take the gondola down to Peak 8, but if that chair is closed I would stay at Peak 8 or Peak 9 to begin with. The ski in is a very nice trail that puts you right at the property, take Claimjumper down and follow the signage.
If you are a skier, we stayed in Unit 7106 that is very close to the ski lockers and same level as fitness center with a steam room. The room is nice and spacious too. If the rest of the review does not discourage you I would consider asking for this Unit. Someone else posted about this unit too discussing roll out bed, etc..

Now for the negative stuff. Front desk was not helpful on more than one occasion. I was going to tell you all of the details, but Bryan the manager spoke to me and assured me that the front desk will go over how to handle hotel guests. So in the future if you have issues with the front desk reach out to Bryan.

In summary, front desk needs training in customer service. There are not amenities you would expect for a property that looks this nice. No robes, no food, and you do have access to One Ski Hill and their amenities, but my advice is just go stay at the sister property.

If the chair is working this is a great ski in and ski out location. Location 5 stars. Service right now 3 stars. Cleanliness 4 because of the housekeeping issue.
