Imagine arriving at your hotel after a day of driving and after checking in, you are asked to walk about half a mile to a [filthy] elevator which takes you to the 6th Fl. This is followed by another walk to another [filthy] elevator which takes you to the 9th floor (yours). Imagine now that your room is adjacent to a broken ice machine, groping water and making loud non-stop noises. Humor me and try to imagine now calling reception and asking for a different room, where they just drop the line and force you to go downstairs again, via the long [filthy] walks and the two elevators. It’s August and the outside temperature is 90 degrees. After long negotiations with the Front Desk, you eventually end up with another room where the temperature is 80 degrees and, here it comes: there is NO AIR CONDITIONING. This Doubletree, unlike to lousiest motel in our day and time, does not have A/C. I can understand that it was built a long time ago (and hasn’t been cleaned since!), but then it should be closed in the Summer. Or at least, this fact should be disclosed on their Web site. Another missing disclosure: the restaurant is open only Wed-Sun, but does it say so on the Web site, no!
Other highlights of our stay: there were holes in the bed sheets (see pix). The degree of abandonment and lack of maintenance, old, left over stickers in the elevators, lack of any decoration or signage to enlighten your trip to the parking garage, dust and a coating of filth in elevators and corridors, additional charge for parking, pathetic. This appalling lack of hygiene, in our pandemic times is absolutely unacceptable. Avoid this hotel at all cost.

I would not recommend this hotel. It is dingy, dirty, and sadly in need of a major overhaul. If I had paid half the price, I would have at least known what I was getting into. However, the pricing structure is in line with what you'd expect to pay at a DoubleTree, but the condition of the property is dismal. Some low lights include: lack of air conditioning or even built-in fans in the rooms; old and dirty carpets; scuffed walls; torn wallpaper; mold on bathroom tile; low lighting; window frames coming apart. The list goes on. Moreover, the restaurant service was over-priced and rude. Yikes! Hilton should dump this property or close it for a full re-furbish.

This is not a bad hotel. It is what you expect and want. However the bar/restaurant staff let the place down terribly. The bar manager lady, sharing her views about CDC/big govt conspiracy with folks just having a drink. I am not from USA and I live and let live, but I just do not want to hear this nonsense especially from someone who is supposed to have a responsible role and are working.

When we arrived our room was 80 degrees and there is no AC. The room was dirty and the coffee maker had debris in the water reservoir. There is no house keeping service the first day unless you call and notify the front desk before 11:00am which is before you check in. If you want clean towels you have to go to the front desk to pick them up. The room was far from being clean and the table in the room was not cleaned so we know it wasn’t disinfected. The service for breakfast was challenging and to get a refill of coffee was almost impossible. I will backpack before booking here again.
