Been coming to Breckenridge for 20 years for an annual group ski trip, and have always stayed at a friends condo.
But due to scheduling differences this year, my wife and I came on our own,and found this great place to stay (even closer to the slopes than own friend's condo). We had always kept our skis and boots in our friends condo unit, and were a bit apprehensive about the enforced use of the free ski and boot valet at the Hyatt Residence Club, but we were quickly won over on the first day. Very convenient, and my wife especially loved having warm boots to put on in the morning for the short walk to the Maggie at the base of Peak 9 (from our friend's condo, we would carry our boots and skis to the Maggie, putting our shoes into a rented locker (with price increases almost every year), and the boots would be cold by the time we got to put them on).
The HRC even has free lockers at the ski and boot valet, to put the shoes you wore down from your room, so very thoughtful, and super convenient.
The studio room was nicely appointed and perfect size for my wife and I. We had a nice view out onto Main Street, which is always colorful at night. Lots of stuff withing walking distance (Breckenridge Brewery is right across the street, as well as other eating establishments, and a nice although pricey grocery is only about 3 blocks away), other places easily accessible via the free bus service (you can take the Main Street Trolly all the way to City Market and back for less costly supplies).
My wife loved the availability of 7 outdoor hot tubs, as a place to relax the muscles after a day of skiing (the one night it snowed while we were out there, snow accumulating on our hair, like a couple of Japanese snow monkeys in a hot spring).
Overall a great place to stay, highly recommended.
