My daughter has always talked about the Dim Sum she would get in San Francisco so when we were told about New Emperor Palace we knew we had to go. I've never had this style of food before. It was so Fun!!! The staff comes through the restaurant with little carts with plates steamer bowls of little buns filled with meat, steamed dumplings, veggies, etc. Kinda like tapas but Chinese food! The place was packed on a Sunday afternoon. We were so stuffed when we rolled out of there.

The Emperor Palace is one of the bigger Chinese restaurants in this area. It is located in the same parking lot as the Pacific Ocean Asian Supermarket Broomfield and a couple of very good Vietnamese (Pho) restaurants.

We came here for dim sum but it started shutting down pretty early in the afternoon - you could still order from the menu but the dim sum carts were no longer traveling, maybe because there were not a lot of customers.

Food was OK but nothing special. Typical Cantonese style cuisine. Restaurant decor was nice; bathroom was clean. Service was average and the prices were slightly higher than most Chinese restaurants here.

It is rare to find a restaurant that serves dim sum fresh on the trays. So many varieties to choose from. Order a pot of tea to enjoy with the dim sums. The prices varies from the type of food you choose from the trays. There are 4 categories and starts from $2.99 per plate onwards. The bill could add up if you are not careful on your orders.

This is a truly unique restaurant to go to for the classic dim sum experience. Unlike a lot of other asian restaurants that feature dim sum appetizers these days as sad little prepackaged affairs reheated from a microwave, emperor's palace gives you the authentic experience complete with serving carts laden with tantalizing dishes such as dumplings, turnip cake, calamari, Peking duck, sliced BBQ pork, steamed buns, egg tarts, sesame balls, congee, and so much more. They have all the traditional dim sum classics and the place is often packed with asian customers on the weekends. The staff is friendly and speak rudimentary English but it's quite easy enough to point at the dish of your choice whereupon he or she will stamp a little card placed on your table keeping a tally of all of the dishes you order. I came with family and friends so it was fun to see all of the food coming round on trolleys especially for those who have never had dim sum before to get an idea through sight and smell of what each dish is and to choose thus. The decor inside is beautiful and there are even lobster tanks occupied by live lobsters. Order to hot tea when you sit down and come hungry as you'll soon find yourself ordering more then your stomach can comfortably fit while your eyes are tempted by seductive metal steamers filled with steamed delicacies.
