I ordered the Ultimate Plate. It has beef, lamb, and chicke, all of which had wonderful flavor. Then there are 3 falafel, hummus, a fresh garden salad that was excellent, including great tomatoes, and pita sliced into perfect poeces for grabbing up some meat and dipping into the hummus. The restaurant is clean and inviting, and the one person working the front was very pleasant. This little corner of downtown Colorado Springs is a treasure trove of ethnic foods and specialty shops. My recommendation is that Taste of Jerusalem shouldn't be missed.

We have enjoyed the Manitou Springs location of Taste of Jerusalem over the years. We have been here four times since February of 2018 and are reluctant to make a full throated recommendation of ToJ. It has never been an exquisite mid _Eastern place to dine, rather a fast food type mid eastern joint. Serviceable filafel, hummous, skillet fried pita bread....you get the picture.
While we have had some decent tabouli salad here, the last time we ate here, the parsely was yellowed, the tomato was sparse....it seemed as if they were stretched. The hummous is OK, but where is the baba ganouge? This is what I mean about "not an exquisite mid eastern place." They don't have baba on the menu. The gyro meat is the frozen pre-sliced stuff that you get at Costco or Sam's. It is not the roasted and shaved stuff. When I was presented with the gyro salad, it was a pile of this gyro meat all minced up. Not until you have a plate of this processed stuff do you realize how salty it is. Thcold.e falafel, I swear, they buy pre made. It is served dry and cold.
We ordered the turkish coffee a few times. The last time, it was so overpoweringly cardamom flavored as to be undrinkable.
This place is OK for a gyro sandwich. Unless you are really hungry, try another place in Manaito Springs as there are many terrific restaurants here.

Nothing fast food about this place. They prepared you food fresh and exactly like the menu stated. If the menu said marinaded, roasted lamb, the entree delivered just that. You could taste every bit of the menu description.

Stopped here with friends for what we hoped would be a quick, tasty lunch. WOW! We were not disappointed! THE FOOD WAS GREAT! I got a combo plate in order to try several different menu items. Our friends had gyro sandwiches. All of our meals were well-prepared, very tasty, came in more than ample portions and at a fair price. We enjoyed it so much that I bought a gift certificate to give to other friends who live locally. An absolute MUST COME HERE if you enjoy good Middle Eastern food. ENJOY!!!

We were visiting family in Colorado Springs and hanging out downtown. Based on a previous experience, we decided to go to Taste of Jerusalem cafe for lunch. This time, it was bad.

We were the only ones in the restaurant. Service was welcoming but extremely slow.

The food was not good. We ordered two salads--Greek and fattoush. Both looked pretty much exactly the same when delivered; the fattoush was flavorless iceberg lettuce, some under-ripe tomatoes, and a handful of bread crumbs. The Greek was similarly flavorless iceberg, under-ripe tomatoes, and some olives. Gross--and hard to justify for the cost.

The lentil soup was edible but way overly salty. The chicken wrap tasted sort of stale.

Sad, as we'd had good experiences previously and were excited to support a local establishment. Based on this experience--expensive for what it is and bad--we likely will not be back.
