The good: The people who work there are friendly and accommodating. The common area where you check in/get breakfast/hang out/go to happy hour is eclectic and fun. Local beer and moonshine served at the small bar. Excellent location. Walking distance to Garden of the Gods Trading Post/Park. Close to several dispensaries if you're into that sort of thing. We felt very safe when we were on the property.
The bad: The rooms are pretty run down. (We didn't stay in one of the renovated ones, apparently.) There's some sort of construction going on on the main road, so it's an absolute MESS to get there, or any restaurants in the general vicinity, really. We had to keep our curtains closed almost all the time, as the people staying across from us were outside their door constantly, so we felt really closed in and confined.
Overall, an eclectic and unique place to stay as long as you don't plan on spending much time in your room.More
